Jane Smith

Founder & CEO

Jane is a passionate and experienced entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry. She studied hospitality management at the University of California, Berkeley, and has owned and managed several successful restaurants in the Bay Area. Her dedication to creating unique dining experiences that showcase the best local and international cuisine has earned her a loyal following among food enthusiasts.

As the owner of Food & Co, Jane oversees all aspects of the restaurant's operations, from menu planning and sourcing to staffing and customer service. Her vision for the restaurant is to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere where guests can enjoy exceptional food, wine, and hospitality.

Anna Rodriguez

Head Chef

Anna has been passionate about cooking since she was a child, watching her grandmother prepare traditional Mexican dishes. She pursued her culinary studies at the Culinary Institute of America and has worked in several Michelin-starred restaurants in New York City.

Anna's signature style combines her Mexican roots with modern techniques, creating a unique and delicious dining experience for our guests. As Head Chef, she leads the kitchen team with her creativity, discipline, and passion for excellence.

Thomas Jones

Restaurant Manager

Thomas has over a decade of experience in the hospitality industry, from fine dining to casual eateries. He studied hospitality management at Cornell University and has worked in various leadership roles in restaurants across the country.

Thomas is known for his ability to manage teams effectively, providing excellent customer service, and creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests. As our Restaurant Manager, he oversees all aspects of the restaurant's operations, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable dining experience for our guests.

As a new member of our team, we want to give you an idea of what you can expect during your first week, month, and year at Food & Co:

1 week

During your first week, you will receive an orientation and training on our policies, procedures, and operations.

1 month

After your first month, you will have a good understanding of our restaurant's culture, values, and expectations.

1 year

By the end of your first year, you will have become an integral part of our team and a valued contributor to our success.

Work Schedules

As a restaurant owner, we understand that our employees have personal responsibilities outside of work, and we strive to provide a flexible work schedule that accommodates their needs as much as possible.

However, the restaurant industry is known for its long and demanding hours, especially during peak periods, such as weekends and holidays. As such, we require our employees to be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

We believe that open and honest communication is key to ensuring that our employees' work schedules are manageable and that they do not become overwhelmed or overworked. We encourage our employees to communicate their availability and preferences with us, and we do our best to create schedules that meet their needs while still ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant. We also provide fair compensation for overtime and work on holidays and make sure our employees are informed of their rights under applicable labor laws.

Timekeeping and Attendance:

We require our employees to arrive on time for their scheduled shifts and to clock in and out accurately to ensure that they are paid correctly.

We maintain a strict attendance policy and expect our employees to notify their supervisor in advance of any planned absences or tardiness. Excessive absenteeism or tardiness may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Workplace Safety

Our restaurant is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for all employees and guests.

We have established safety protocols and procedures, including regular training and inspections, to prevent accidents, injuries, and illness in the workplace.
